Birthdays and remembrance days become opportunities to share Banner’s joy. These are the blessings our community has helped bring to life in his honor.
On Banner’s first birthday, we handmade more than 50 blankets to donate to The DeGeorge at Union Station. Each blanket was a way to pass along warmth, comfort, and love in his honor.
The DeGeorge provides affordable and supportive housing for individuals in need, including single veterans experiencing chronic homelessness.
To honor the first anniversary of Banner’s passing, we collected more than $3,000 in supplies to donate to Abandoned Animal Rescue in Magnolia, Texas.
A community’s generosity became a tangible act of care, carrying Banner’s light forward.
For Banner’s second birthday, our community donated items and funds to purchase teddy bears from our Amazon wish list. Together, we made and distributed more than 100 personalized Blessings for Banner teddy bears.
The bears were shared with Texas Children’s Hospital, Memorial Hermann Hospital, and Harris County DFPS Rainbow Rooms.
For Banner’s fourth birthday, we sold Blessings for Banner apparel to raise funds for items on our Amazon wish list. Those gifts helped us create 50 NICU care packages for parents with children at Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital.
Each care package included a tote bag, teddy bear, hygiene products, gift cards, a NICU journal, and adaptive onesies.
